After weeks of testing the Vantech H1 2 Bar Steel Ladder Roof Rack on our 2020 RAM ProMaster City, we’re impressed with its sturdy construction and practical design. The black powder-coated steel frame handles heavy loads without flexing, while the two-bar configuration provides ample space for ladders, lumber, and other oversized cargo.

Installation took about 90 minutes, with all mounting hardware included and clear instructions. The rack’s low profile minimizes wind noise-a noticeable improvement over bulkier alternatives we’ve tried. Despite its robust build, fuel economy decreased by only about 1 MPG.

At $289, it’s moderately priced compared to aluminum options, but the additional durability makes this a worthwhile investment for daily commercial use. Our only minor complaint is that the black finish shows scratches easily, though touch-ups are simple with any black spray paint.
