Our Review: Thule Wingbar Evo 50″ – Quiet Rides & Easy Loading

After testing the Thule Wingbar Evo 50″ in Black for several weeks, we’re impressed by its performance. The aerodynamic design significantly reduces wind noise compared to traditional roof racks we’ve used before. Even at highway speeds, the WindDiffuser technology keeps things remarkably quiet.

Installation was straightforward with Thule’s SmartSlide system, which includes a measuring tape built right into the bar. We particularly appreciated the T-track slots that allow accessories to be mounted without removing the entire bar.

The 50″ size provided ample space for our gear, from kayaks to bike racks, while the sleek black finish complemented our vehicle nicely. Weight capacity is substantial at 220lbs (when properly installed), handling everything we threw at it.
