We Tested XOOKUN’s 420lb Jeep Roof Rack: Our Verdict

After putting XOOKUN’s heavy-duty roof rack through its paces on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler, we came away impressed with its performance. The steel crossbars easily handled our fully loaded cargo box during a weekend camping trip, showing no signs of stress even on rough terrain. Installation took us about 35 minutes with basic tools, and the fit was secure on our 4-door JL model.

We particularly appreciated the 420-pound weight capacity, which exceeds many OEM options. During our mountain biking excursion, the rack comfortably carried four bikes without any worrying flexing or noise. The powder-coated finish has held up well against scratches and weather exposure over our three-week testing period.

While not the cheapest option available, the XOOKUN offers excellent value considering its robust construction and versatility across Wrangler models from 2007-2024.
